Win a fabulous one week getaway at beautiful Massanutten Resort in the heart of Virginia's Shenandoah Valley! Raffle tickets are available now -- $5 for 1, $10 for 3, etc. Proceeds will benefit the NNPDF for NPD Type C research in Dillon's honor. The lucky winner will receive one week in a deluxe two-bedroom, two-bath (whirpool tub) condo, complete with kitchen, fireplace and two decks. The condo sleeps up to six people. Massanutten Resort is within a two-hour drive of Washington, D.C., and offers skiing, tubing and snow boarding during the winter. Hiking, biking and golf are enjoyed most of the year. There's an indoor waterpark and two indoor sports complexes for more year-round fun. |

Further, the surrounding area is overflowing with attractions to delight history buffs, antique shoppers, and nature lovers, making Massanutten an outstanding vacation destination. The prize drawing will be held on Monday, January 4, at 7:00 p.m., at Foster's Grille in Urbana. (Need not be present to win.) Grand Opening Fundraiser

During the Dunkin' Donuts Grand Opening Oct 7 - 10, a dollar from every purchase of one dozen donuts was donated to the National Niemann-Pick Disease Foundation for Niemann-Pick Type C research, in honor of Dillon Papier.

Family and Friends Advance the Fight Against Niemann-Pick Disease |
Recently, a couple of Dillon's "girl friends" (not to be confused with "girlfriends," which few 7-year-old boys would admit to having) held their own book sale to benefit NPD. Sixth graders Nicolette and Katie gathered books, priced them individually, and conducted the sale, getting more friends involved, as well. Dillon's mom, Darrile, said the girls were "absolutely amazing" in their diligence and dedication to the cause. :-) In between sales, Dillon enjoyed a game of baseball with the girls. Generous donations have also been coming in to honor Dillon's Great Aunt Ruth Steinberg's 90th birthday!
Further, Dillon's cousin Debbie and her husband, Kent Doxzon, celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary recently. In lieu of gifts, they asked everyone to pitch in for a donation to NNPDF in honor of Dillon's 7th birthday! This gift was kept a surprise from Dillon's family, and what a nice surprise it was! Almost $1400 came to the NNPDF in honor of Dillon as a result. This photo shows the Doxzon family at son Sam's graduation party. Glory Days Grill contributed 10% of total food purchases to the National Niemann-Pick Disease Foundation during the month of August. Diners simply asked their server for a copy of their guest check and mailed the guest check receipt to Darrile Papier for redemption.

Dillon Papier celebrated his 7th birthday in style, honored by the Baltimore Orioles! Attendees supported the fight against Niemann-Pick Disease Type C (NPC), with proceeds benefiting the National Niemann-Pick Disease Foundation and research into treatments and a cure for NPC.

Gold's Gym hosted a raffle to raise money to benefit the fight against Niemann-Pick Disease in honor of seven-year-old Dillon Papier (NPC). Prizes included a 20-session personal training package valued at $2000, and many more prizes including Foster's Grille gift certificates! .

Urbana Dance Studio invited attendees to enjoy an afternoon of Zumba, the hottest new Latin dance-exercise craze, on Saturday, August 8th, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Gold's Gym, 5728 Buckeystown Pike, Frederick, MD. The registration fees benefitted the National Niemann-Pick Disease Foundation.
Attendees had tons of fun doing something healthy for themselves while making a difference by supporting vital research toward finding a cure for NPC.

Massanutten Resort One-Week Getaway Vacation Raffle
to Benefit the National Niemann-Pick Disease Foundation

Located in the heart of Virginia's Shenandoah Valley, the Massanutten Resort is a first-class resort offering skiing, tubing, snowboarding, hiking, biking and golf, depending on the season. The resort also offers a waterpark, racquetball, fitness centers and much more.
Raffle tickets were sold for the chance to win a one-week stay at the Massanutten during 2009. The raffle was held to benefit the NNPDF in honor of Dillon Papier (NPC), the six-year-old son of Darrile and Mark Papier of Frederick, Maryland. Proceeds help fund research into treatments and a cure for Niemann-Pick Type C.
